The weather is clearing in St. John's. Just in time for the 26th Annual Craft Trade Show at the Holiday Inn. If anyone is in the area drop by for a visit. I'll be there ALL day.

My friend Jerry Evans is here this year for the first time. He has some of his amazing work here for shops to pick up as a new line for the summer.

I'll have some pictures for my next blog.

Tom is all set up with his wholesale line. Of course I am looking at the earrings. Guess I need another pair.

Tom added to his one of a kind designs for this year I am sure.

His pieces were picture perfect before the end of the workshop . They should be on his own website before the weekend.
Check out my website www.petebarrett.ca for more photos of the workshop. Hope to have them all uploaded by the weekend

The workshop is over now and everyone has gone back to their own studio

I have a couple of pictures of the work, it was amazing .
This silver was created by Betty John of Betty's Beaded Creations.
Jason didn't get all of his silver polished but I am sure by now it is gleaming.

Tracy Keats just excels in her design work. Her bakeapple ring was quite impressive but the photography was not so I will leave that picture for another time.

With the first day completed we are all very excited about how we will fire the silver jewelry we are making. The kiln didn't arrive on time so we are going to try another method for now.
I'm just going to dump in a bunch of pictures and update tonight

Tom Barrett, Barrett Designs

The first day of the PMC workshop completed. Shannon Kennedy is the visiting instructor from Kitchner, Ontario. Quite an excited bunch of jewellers here in central.

This is the latest at Mealy Mountain Gallery and Fantasy Studios. We are sewing the horse pads for Material Horse. Right now the images are themed from the book Twilight. Horse pads and t-shirts can be purchased on line only.

If you have difficulty finding out how to order, send me an e-mail, labradorcraft@gmail.com

Tom and George are screening the images with waterbased, non toxic inks.

No serious travelling until after March 9th. I'm glad to be working from home base for a change.
